The TYP Company is a group of our most active performers who participate in at least two shows. It keeps members connected to TYP throughout the year with special benefits and discounts.
Performers ages 7-18 who have participated in at least two TYP shows are eligible to join. Exceptions may be made for summer camp participants.
Company members receive discounts on production fees, one free class each session (3 a year) or a 50% discount on a camp, exclusive access to internships and special performances in Cabarets and promo events, access to monthly Company Member events, and can direct 50% of sponsorship money to their account for use in TYP programs (see below).

The Sponsorship Program is a new way for friends, family and community members to support TYP. Performers can create a Sponsorship page and start raising money for TYP. For Company Members, 50% of the sponsorship funds raised will be allocated to the Company Member Account to help cover monthly dues, production fees, classes, etc.
All past and current cast members of TYP can participate in the Sponsorship Program. Just visit sponsorship.typsandiego.org and click on "Create Your Page".
Performers create a profile page where they can load images, video and their story. They can then share their personal link to friends, family, local businesses to get sponsorships. Money is then collected by the GiveButter platform and will show up under that performer's total raised

We recommend joining the Company for an annual commitment, however you are free to cancel at any time. Upon cancellation of your Company Membership, we ask that you allocate any outstanding Company Member Account balance to another company member or to our scholarship fund. All discounts and Company Member events are only available to active Company Members.
Company Member events will be labeled as either "Free and Included" or "Add-on/Additional Expense". Many monthly events will be free and included but there will be occasional events that require participants to cover their cost on an outing.
No, Company Membership is an optional benefit and offers additional education and enrichment, but it is not required to participate in shows, camps or classes.

Production fees will be discounted by $95 for Junior shows and $50 for Senior shows for Company Members starting in 2025. Please note that Production fees for all shows will be increasing next year.
Each company member will be able to participate in one class per session (3 per year) at no additional cost. Those classes include: Acting, Voice, Stage Combat, and Dance
If a Company Member does not participate in the free classes, one camp will receive a 50% discount.
