John will perform a solo dramatic reading of "A Christmas Carol." John will also share with us an introductory history of the tradition of Dicken's himself giving an oratory performance of his own book. There will be a Q&A afterwards for Company Members and their parents only.
John is a broadly experienced Singer, Actor, Instrumentalist, Composer, Conductor, and Published Writer, who is active in the San Diego/Los Angeles area. He has an ongoing career in the performing arts, which includes leading roles in Musical Theatre both in San Diego and in London, England. John has worked with the Bach Collegium San Diego as a classical soloist and choral artist in San Diego and Mexico City. In addition, John has worked as a professional parish liturgical musician; writing vocal and instrumental music which has been accepted for publication by Boosey and Hawkes as well as Emerson Music in the UK. John writes reviews which have been published in the scholarly journal Usus Antiquior, the Beach and Bay Press, and the Southern Cross newspaper. He also conducts and leads Catholic choirs of various sizes for commercial hire, both at home in San Diego and as far as London in the UK, which have included performances of his own compositions.
We have 3 one-week camps for all ages. You will sing and dance to some of your favorite show highlights! Each camp is geared toward its students. There will be one full company number taught along with solos and small group songs to increase each students skills.
This intriguing and beautiful folk opera delivers a deeply resonant and defiantly hopeful theatrical experience. Following two intertwining love stories – that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of immortal King Hades and lady Persephone – Hadestown invites audiences on a hell-raising journey to the underworld and back. Inspired by traditions of classic American folk music and vintage New Orleans jazz, Mitchell’s beguiling sung-through musical pits industry against nature, doubt against faith, and fear against love.
Please consider sponsoring one of our AMAZING young artists. Every dollar they raise goes directly to TYP to help further their arts education. ARTS EDUCATION MATTERS

Jessica and Jordan are dedicated to teaching and sharing their talents with their students. I am forever grateful for the opportunities they have given my son.
This is a great group of young adults We especially loved "Olive" but everyone was great We had seen this play before where adults played the kids but this was kids playing kids and it is a refreshing to see such talent in the youth; all were very polite when we spoke to them in the lobby after the play> We look forward to seeing their next production.
Hilarious show with non-stop laughter! Highly recommend!

Jessica and Jordan have helped me so much as an actor and a singer and just a person in general I highly recommend them.
Excellent program, run by true professionals! My son continues to gain knowledge about the industry, and has grown leaps and bounds since studying with TYP! He is now gaining leadership skills as well! So grateful!
