AUDITIONS FOR GREASE!
TYP is holding auditions for GREASE, our second show of the 2025 season, on Monday, March 17 from 4:30pm-9pm at our rehearsal space at 7960 University Ave, Suite 240/250, La Mesa CA 91942. Callbacks are by invitation only on Tuesday, March 18 from 4:30pm-8:30pm. This show is for actors 12 years old and older. To register for an audition time, please email your headshot and resume to Jessica at jessica@typsandiego.org. Please prepare a one-minute song selection in a musical theater style. You will sing with a backing track that you provide. NO a cappella auditions. Please check-in 15 minutes prior to your audition time. We will consider video auditions.

TICKETS ARE NOW ON SALE FOR THIS POWERFUL SHOW! GET THEM BEFORE THEY ARE GONE! This intriguing and beautiful folk opera delivers a deeply resonant and defiantly hopeful theatrical experience. Following two intertwining love stories – that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of immortal King Hades and lady Persephone – Hadestown invites audiences on a hell-raising journey to the underworld and back. Inspired by traditions of classic American folk music and vintage New Orleans jazz, Mitchell’s beguiling sung-through musical pits industry against nature, doubt against faith, and fear against love.

We have 3 one-week camps for all ages. You will sing and dance to some of your favorite show highlights! Each camp is geared toward its students. There will be one full company number taught along with solos and small group songs to increase each students skills.

JOIN US FOR BEETLEJUICE JR
It's our show now, kid. The ghost-with-the-most comes to the stage in Beetlejuice JR., the frightfully funny musical based on the beloved motion picture turned Broadway phenomenon. Lydia Deetz is a strange and unusual teenager, still grieving the loss of her mother and obsessed with the whole “being dead thing.” Lucky for Lydia, she and her father move to a new house haunted by a recently deceased couple and Beetlejuice, a delightful demon with a real zest for life. When Lydia calls on Beetlejuice to scare away anyone with a pulse, this double-crossing specter shows his true stripes, unleashing a (Nether)world of pandemonium.
